Advancing sustainable waste management and fostering environmental consciousness, the Coffs Harbour Waste Conference stands as the premier waste management conference in the industry.

Commencing its journey in 1996, this event marks 28 years of dedication, aiming to innovate, motivate, and educate individuals about underlying environmental concerns while addressing the unique waste management needs of businesses.

Following the successful event last year, the Coffs Harbour Waste Conference 2024 will now take place on May 14 to 16 at the Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour with the support of the Waste Management and Resource Recovery Association of Australia (WMRR).

For three days, attendees can engage in a series of comprehensive sessions including exhibits, workshops, and keynote presentations.

Each year the Coffs Harbour Waste Conference features national and international presenters who share their knowledge, experience, case studies and insight into the waste industry.

Wastech Engineering General Manager Sales & Marketing, Scott Russ will be presenting in this year’s conference and will share his insights on Mitigating the risks of lithium-ion battery fires with a focus on the role of Fire Rover.

Hazardous waste infrastructure assessment report identifies LIBs as a major concern in the country with 57% of 208 recorded fires in Victoria alone, over a four-year period, were potentially caused by LIBs.
